They provide lots of cool fashion options for cooler weather.  Jeggings are actually quite versatile, and we think they do a better job in your wardrobe than skinny jeans or leggings would. Because they’re still denim material and rather thick without being bulky, you don’t have to cover your butt out of fear that your showing too many curves. But they’re so slim and skin-tight like leggings that you can wear a long sweater or tee, a dress, or just throw a long cardigan over.

You can dress them up with heels for a night on the town or dress them down with ballerina flats for a day of shopping. No matter how you wear them, they will quickly become your favorite fashion staple for Fall/Winter 2011.

If you think the only celebrity buzz in Dripping Springs is Jesse James picking up a cheeseburger at the Sonic, you’re wrong. I was in Dripping Springs on a random errand and happened across Jordyn’s Closet, a boutique specializing in women’s clothes and one-of-a-kind gifts.

Like many boutiques, at first glance, you might not be sure what to expect when you first pull up, but as soon as you step inside, it’s adorable. The store has a great selection of women’s and junior clothes, as well as clothes for tweens, babies and lots of unique gifts. The prices are great too. I’ve seen many of these clothes and gifts in boutiques in Austin and the prices at Jordyn’s Closet are significantly lower.

What’s equally as cool as the boutique is the story about how the boutique came to be. The shop is owned by Ron Wikso and his wife, Debbie. Wikso is actually a famous rock-n-roll drummer who has played with legends like Foreigner, Cher, Richie Sambora and David Lee Roth, just to name a few.

He has toured all over the world and is currently playing with the Gregg Rolie Band. If that name sounds familiar, it should. Rolie is a member of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and co-founded two of the biggest super groups in history, Santana and Journey. He was the lead singer and keyboard player on songs such as Black Magic Woman, Evil Ways and more. Wikso and Rolie have been friends since their days together in a band called The Storm.

After hearing this amazing story, I just had to know one thing. How in the world did he end up in Dripping Springs?

We’re pleased to announce our new Miss Me Boyfriend Cut Capri pants have arrived! They look great and so incredibly comfortable. The ‘boyfriend’ style jean is supposed to fit loosely and fall below the waist. It’s a style you often see celebs like Katy Holmes wearing around town. You can dress them up with heels or wear them casually with flip flops.

The jeans run 2″ larger at waist compared to other styles. We recommend you go 1 size down or 2 sizes down if you prefer a form fitting jean. Large crystal studs trim the pockets corners. SillyBandz are sweeping stores as this new type of stretchy bracelet is the biggest fad in a while.  In fact, SillyBandz was just featured in USA Today because competitors are hopping on board. “One year ago, the company had eight phone lines. Today, it has 48. One year ago, the company had 20 U.S. employees. Today, it has 400 in the USA and 3,000 in China, where Silly Bandz are made. One year ago, it was selling 100 packs of Silly Bandz a week. Today, it’s selling 1 million.”

What’s funny about this is some schools are actually banning SillyBandz because they are a distraction. Aren’t they just harmless, brightly colored, stretchy bracelets? Come on. According to a principal at a school in Albany, “They just became too much of a distraction toward what we were trying to accomplish. (Students) were going to the nurse’s office with their circulation cut off from the 30 they were wearing.”

I’m always amazed at the amount of money some women spend on clothes, shoes, handbags and accessories, when you can find so much style for so much less!
